Crepe Station, having started back in 2003 recently launched his latest venture in the heart of Andheri West – “Barcode 053”. (053 because it is the pin code for the Andheri West area) Barcode attempts to create a relaxed, chilled out atmosphere for enjoying a couple of drinks with your friends and family. Barcode adds a sophisticated twist to the ambience with the fine prints on the walls and the high wooden stools around the bar. The mood is created with the use of a lot brick, wood, mild colours, effective lighting, displays & a mix of music – old school, retro, house & hip-hop. The entrance floor display is something which you certainly cannot miss and makes you feel like you are actually stepping on different cocktails & drinks!

Barcode has an inside and alfresco dining area with a capacity of up to 120 people. The main attraction in the inside dining area is the bar, made from complete wood and takes up a larger part of space. The bar menu has a range of domestic & international beers, wines & spirits. What is rather interesting is the choice of 21 different types of Martinis –

Dirty Martini, Wat-A-Martini Vodka, Melon Syrup & fresh watermelon), Fly So High (vodka, light rum, blue curacao & pineapple juice), Mudslide Martini (vodka, bailey’s Irish cream & crème de cacao)  or try out one of the “fully-loaded” cocktails – longer island ice tea (rum, vodka, gin tequila, midori, blue curacao & sprite.

Barcode opens from 12pm and you can enjoy a great selection from Chef Nirmal Monteiro’s designed menu- lunch time offers – The Lunch Box – with salad, soup, vegetable/chicken curry, rice, pulses & dessert. There is a range of fresh salads – Green Fields, Thai Salad, Chicken Tandoori, Prawn Cocktail…finger licking appetizers include – Bruschettes De Legumes – cottage cheese, bell peppers, baby corn & mushroom arranged on a tooth pick tossed in chilly marmalade or try out the Mexican Chicken Supreme – chicken supreme marinated in chilly, lime, coriander grilled & served with spicy baked beans. If you want something more filling – there are the “Barcode Burgers”, Freshly-Made Brown Bread Sandwiches, Pastas (penne or fettuccine), In-House Baked Dishes, such as Veg or Chicken Au Gratin or Lasagna Bolognaise, Rice Specialities – Arroz Mexicana, Veg or Seafood Paella, Tandoor & BBQ Snacks – Paneer Malay Shaslik, Murgh Malai Chop, Spicy Chicken Wings & Baked Potatoes and finish off Sweet Belgian Waffles with Chocolate, Nutella, Apple-Cinnamon or Seasonal Fruits.
